World Environment Day Celebration

The Biological Science Association “EVREN” of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education celebrated World Environment Day on 5 June 2021 with the aim of promoting environmental awareness and encouraging sustainable practices among students.
As part of the celebration, a talk was delivered by Sreelakshmi S, a student of Biological Science. The session highlighted the importance of protecting the environment and emphasized the urgent need for individuals and communities to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.
During the talk, various environmental issues such as pollution, deforestation, climate change, and loss of biodiversity were discussed. The speaker also explained the role of students and future teachers in creating awareness about environmental conservation and motivating society to protect nature.
The programme served as a platform for students to reflect on their responsibility toward the environment and inspired them to take active steps in conserving natural resources. The celebration successfully created awareness about the significance of maintaining ecological balance for the well-being of present and future generations.
