 Martyrs’ Day and World Leprosy Day Observance

The English Department of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe organized a programme on 30 January 2022 in observance of Martyrs’ Day and World Leprosy Day. The programme aimed to pay tribute to the great leaders and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation and to create awareness about the importance of eliminating leprosy and supporting those affected by the disease.

As part of the programme, several competitions were organized for the students to encourage participation and creative expression. The competitions included Speech (5 minutes), Poster Making (Online), Slogan Writing, Poem Recitation, and Collage Making. The activities provided students with an opportunity to express their thoughts on themes such as patriotism, sacrifice, social responsibility, and the need to eradicate leprosy from society.

Students actively participated in the competitions and demonstrated their creativity, communication skills, and awareness of social issues. The programme also highlighted the message that martyrs continue to live in the hearts of the people as sources of inspiration, and emphasized the importance of collective efforts in addressing social challenges like leprosy.

The Management and Staff of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe congratulated the students who successfully qualified the State Eligibility Test (SET) – January 2022. The achievement brought pride and recognition to the institution, reflecting the academic excellence and dedication of the students.

The students who qualified the SET examination include Anjana Gopal (Commerce), Sidharth P (Physical Science), Sreeshma A (Commerce), Anagha V G (Physical Science), Indulekha P T (Commerce), and Shibina C (Commerce). The Physical Science Association of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe organized a programme in observance of National Family Literacy Day on 27 January 2022. The programme aimed to create awareness about the importance of literacy within families and to highlight the role of education in improving the quality of life and strengthening communities.

The programme featured a talk by Gana Vinod K, who emphasized the significance of family literacy in promoting a culture of reading and learning at home. National Voters Day

National Voters Day was observed at Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe with the aim of creating awareness among students about the importance of voting in a democratic country.  District Youth Convention

The District Youth Convention was organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Mahe, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. The programme was conducted on 07 January 2022 at 10:00 AM in the Hall of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe.

The convention aimed to encourage youth participation in nation-building activities and to create awareness among young people about their roles and responsibilities in society. The programme brought together students, youth representatives, and faculty members who actively participated in the discussions and activities organized as part of the convention.

A Field Trip was organized for the students of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe on 4 January 2022 as part of their academic programme. The objective of the field visit was to provide students with practical exposure and to help them understand the functioning of educational institutions and related administrative processes.

The students, accompanied by faculty members, visited the concerned institution/office where they were introduced to the various activities and responsibilities carried out in the organization. The officials of the institution interacted with the students and explained the procedures, documentation, and the day-to-day functioning of the office. This interaction helped the students gain valuable insights into the practical aspects of administration and institutional management.
